Cranking Signal: Description and Operation

Crank Signal Wiring Circuit:

The PCM looks at the starter solenoid to tell when the engine is cranking. It uses this to tell when the vehicle is in the starting mode.

If this signal is not available, vehicle may be hard to start in extremely cold weather.
