Door Locks

The Keyless Entry Module can be programmed into four different modes. Modes 1 through 3 will "lock" all doors with the Ignition "ON", driver's door closed, and the vehicle is taken, out of "PARK." If the driver's door is open when the vehicle is taken out of "PARK," the system will not "lock" the doors until a reset occurs. A reset occurs with vehicle in "PARK" and the Ignition "ON." If the Sliding Door is open when the vehicle is shifted out of "PARK," all vehicle doors will "lock" five seconds after the Sliding Door is closed. The Sliding Door delay function is cancelled by turning Ignition "OFF," shifting to "PARK," pressing an "unlock" switch, or by turning the lock cylinder to the "unlock" position. Mode 4 has no Automatic Door Lock Functions.

To Enable Mode 1 (Unlock driver's door when placed in park):

1. Ignition "ON."
2. Press Lock Switch for 10 seconds (lock followed by all unlock).
3. Release Lock Switch.
4. Press "UNLOCK" button on transmitter once (driver's door unlock).

To Enable Mode 2 (Unlock all doors when placed in park):

1. Ignition "ON."
2. Press Lock Switch for 10 seconds (lock followed by all unlock).
3. Release Lock Switch.
4. Press "UNLOCK" button on transmitter once (driver's door unlock).
5. Press "UNLOCK" button on transmitter again (all doors unlock).

To Enable Mode 3 (No action when placed in park).

1. Ignition "ON."
2. Press Lock Switch for 10 seconds (lock followed by all unlock).
3. Release Lock Switch.
4. Press "LOCK" button on transmitter once (all doors lock).

To Enable Mode 4 (No Automatic Door Lock Function):

1. Ignition "ON."
2. Press Lock Switch for 10 seconds (lock followed by all unlock).
3. Release Lock Switch.
4. Press "LOCK" button on transmitter once (all doors lock).
5. Press "LOCK" button on transmitter again (all doors lock again).

A ten second window exists after step 3, for programming to take place. The ten second window is exited by a ten second expiration or by turning the Ignition "OFF."
