Component Tests and General Diagnostics
START DIAGNOSTICS HEREPerform the checks listed below before beginning System Diagnosis.
1. If Power Door Locks operate, PWR Seat Circuit Breaker is OK.
2. Check ground G401 by noting operation of LH Tail/Stop/Turn Lights.
3. Check motor linkage for poor connection or binding.
4. If the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker opens whenever the Power Seat Switch is operated, check for a short to ground through CKTs 282, 283, 284, 285, 286 or 287.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity or voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
