Heated Seats

Voltage is applied at all times to the LH Heated Seat Control Module through the HTD ST fuse and through the HVAC CONT fuse with the ignition switch in RUN. When LO is pressed on the LH Seat/Lock Switch, the LH Heated Seat Control Module LO input terminal is momentarily grounded. This causes the LH Heated Seat Control Module to apply voltage to the LH front seat heaters. The LH Heated Seat Control Module monitors the seat surface temperature through a thermistor and maintains a pre-determined temperature.

When HI is pressed on the LH Seat/Lock Switch, the LH front seat operation is similar to LO operation except the LH Heated Seat Control Module maintains the seat surface temperature at a higher pre_determined temperature.

When the OFF switch is pressed on the LH Seat/Lock Switch, the LH Heated Seat Control Module OFF input terminal is momentarily grounded. This causes the LH Heated Seat Control Module to stop applying voltage to the LH front seat heaters. The module will also turn off the LH heated seats whenever the ignition switch has been turned OFF.

The operation of the RH heated seats (Oldsmobile only) is similar to the operation of the LH heated seats.
