Strut Assembly

STRUT ASSEMBLY





Remove

1. Raise vehicle and suitable support.
2. Tire and Wheel assembly.
3. Scribe strut to knuckle.
4. Jack Pad.
5. Exhaust system, if equipped with dual exhaust system.
6. Install J 35778.
- Fully compress J 35778, do not remove spring or retention plates.
7. Brake hose bracket at strut.
8. Strut to body bolts.
9. Strut/stabilizer shaft bracket from knuckle.

Install

1. Strut to body bolts.

Tighten
Bolts to 46 Nm (34 lb. ft.).

2. Strut/stabilizer shaft bracket to knuckle.

Important: Align scribe marks to ensure proper alignment.

Inspect
Nuts to 165 Nm (122 lb. ft.).

3. Brake hose bracket.
4. Remove J 35778
5. Exhaust system, if removed.
6. Jack pad.

Tighten
Bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb.ft.).

7. Tire and wheel assembly.
8. Lower vehicle.
