Park/Neutral (P/N) Switch 3T40

PURPOSE
The Park / Neutral Position (PNP) switch indicates to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when the transmission is in park, neutral, or drive. This information is used for the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), and the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve operation.

NOTE: Vehicle should not be driven with Park / Neutral Position (PNP) switch disconnected, as idle quality and transaxle performance will be affected.
