Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove lefthand hush panel.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors, Fig. 34 .
3. Disconnect vacuum hose.
4. Remove valve or switch assembly.


INSTALLATION
1. Install new switch or valve assembly into retainer as follows:
a. Hold brake pedal depressed while installing switch or valve. Switch or valve body should bottom in retainer.
b. Slowly pull brake pedal fully rearward against pedal stop moving switch or valve assembly rearward.
c. Release brake pedal and pull back again to ensure proper adjustment of switch or valve.
2. Connect electrical connectors.
3. Connect vacuum hose and install lefthand hush panel.
