Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the Throttle Body Assembly.
3. Remove the TP sensor mounting bolts.
4. Remove the TP sensor from the throttle body.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the TP sensor onto the throttle body. Tighten the TP sensor screws to 2.3 Nm (20 lb in).
2. Install the Throttle Body Assembly.
3. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Perform the TP sensor learn procedure. Go to DTC P1526 TP Sensor Learn Not Complete table. Testing and Inspection
