Ignition Cable: Service and Repair

Description:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Ignition "OFF."
2. Engine cover.
3. Secondary ignition wires from ignition coils.
4. Secondary ignition wires from channel on intake manifold.
5. Secondary ignition wires from spark plugs.

Important

^ Use care when removing spark plug boots from the spark plugs. Twist the boot 1/2 turn before removing and PULL ON THE BOOT ONLY to remove it. DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRE as this may damage the secondary ignition wire.

6. Complete secondary ignition wire assembly from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Position secondary ignition wire assembly to the top of the engine.
2. Secondary ignition wire assembly onto intake manifold.
3. Secondary ignition wires to spark plugs, making sure that the spark plug boots are fully seated.
4. Secondary ignition wires to ignition coils.
5. Engine cover.
