Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Control (IC) Module W/ Coils:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Spark plug wires at Ignition Control (IC) module assembly.
2. Four electrical connectors at Ignition Control (IC) module.
3. Four bolts retaining IC module assembly to rear camshaft cover.
4. IC module assembly from vehicle.
5. Ignition coils from IC module assembly.
6. IC module from assembly bracket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. IC module to assembly bracket.
2. Ignition coils to IC module assembly.
3. Position IC module assembly on rear camshaft cover and install four bolts.

Tighten
Four bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb. in.).

4. Four electrical connectors at IC module.
5. Spark plug wires at IC module assembly.
