SHIFT CABLE REPLACEMENT 4T80-E TRANSAXLE

REMOVAL
When servicing shifter cable refer to the images.

1. Remove cable end cap from transaxle Park/Neutral position switch lever.
2. Disconnect cable from bracket by prying up on lock button to unlocked position.
3. Remove left I/P sound insulator.
4. Remove console center trim panel.
5. Disconnect shift control cable from floor shift assembly.

INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure to install, noting the following:
1. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry lock button on shifter cable to unlocked position.
2. Place transaxle shifter in Neutral by rotating selector shaft clockwise from Park to Reverse then Neutral.
3. Select Neutral position at lever on transaxle manual shaft.
4. Depress lock button on shifter cable into LOCKED position.
