Water Deflector

WATER DEFLECTOR

Door Water Deflector:

A waterproof deflector is used to seal the door inner panel and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured to the door inner panel with a fastener and pressure sensitive adhesive located on the outboard surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as needed to service door components.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Door trim panel. Refer to "Door Trim Panel".
2. Water deflector by peeling deflector off door inner panel.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Water deflector over inside handle.
2. Align water deflector with top of inner door panel. Apply pressure to hold in position.
3. Wire harness through slits in water deflector.
4. Insert extruded pockets as required and remove any wrinkles.
5. Secure bottom center and work forward and up.
6. Return to center and work seal rearward and up.
7. Trim panel.

IMPORTANT: There should be no wrinkles in the entire perimeter of the water deflector and ensure that all drain and engage holes in inner door panel are covered by water deflector.
