Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), is mounted in the passenger compartment and monitors the speed of each wheel and the electrical status of the Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) assembly. The primary functions of the EBCM are to monitor wheel locking/slipping, control of braking within the anti-lock/traction mode and to monitor the system for proper electrical operation. The EBCM also controls the display of ABS diagnostic trouble codes within the diagnostic mode.
