Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Retainer and shield.
2. Clamps or connections at gear and pump.
3. Hoses.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Hoses.
2. Clamps or connections at gear and pump.
3. Retainer and shield.
^ Tighten:
- Retainer, and shield mounting bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
- Power steering gear inlet hose to pump, to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
- Hose clamp at pump to 1.7 Nm (15 inch lbs.).
- Power steering gear outlet and inlet hose to steering gear, to 8 Nm (70 inch lbs.).
4. Fill and bleed system.
^ Inspect for leaks.
