Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check IP Fuse Block RADIO FUSE 8D and CKT 43 (YEL) wiring by turning the radio on and noting if display lamps light.
2. Check IP Junction Block, RAC/TRUNK REL Fuse 2 by visual inspection.
3. If Power Antenna goes up or down part way, check Power Antenna mast for bent condition or dirt. If mast is dirty and/or bent, straighten or replace mast and clean off dirt. Check operation. If mast is straight and clean, replace Power Antenna, refer to Audio Systems. Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc
4. If antenna retracts as soon as ignition switch is turned off (radio is on, doors not open), and vehicle is equipped with Retained Accessory Power (RAP), refer to Retained Accessory Power for diagnosis. Accessory Delay Module
