Check Engine

The CHECK ENGINE indicator is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) through CKT 419. The PCM illuminates the CHECK ENGINE indicator in order to warn the driver that an engine control malfunction has been detected. The PCM illuminates the CHECK ENGINE indicator for approximately 3 seconds during the engine start-up for a bulb inspection.
