Control Valve Body Disassemble

1. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the line boost valve retainer (302) from the valve body (301).

CAUTION: Valve Springs can be tightly compressed. Use care when removing retainers and plugs. Personal injury could result.

IMPORTANT:
^ Position the control valve body assembly on a clean surface during disassembly.
^ All valves, springs and bushings must be laid out on a clean surface. Lay them exactly the way they are removed to aid reassembly.

2. Disassemble the line boost valve bore plug (303), boost valve assembly (304), reverse boost valve (310), reverse boost valve bushing (309), pressure regulator valve springs (311, 312) and pressure regulator valve (313) from the valve body (301).

3. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the 1-2, 3-4 shift solenoid valve spring retainer (314D) from the valve body (301).
4. Disassemble the 1-2, 3-4 shift solenoid valve (315A), 1-2 shift valve (318), and shift valve spring (317) from the valve body (301).
5. Remove the O-ring seal (316) from the solenoid valve (315A) ONLY if it is damaged.

6. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the torque signal regulator valve spring retainer (314E) from the valve body (301).
7. Disassemble the pressure control solenoid valve (322), torque signal regulator valve (321), and regulator valve spring (320) from the valve body (301).
8. Remove the 0-ring seals (307, 316) from the solenoid valve (322) ONLY if they are damaged.

9. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the low blowoff valve spring retainer (325) from the valve body (301).
10. Disassemble the low blowoff valve spring (323) and ball valve (324) from the valve body (301).

11. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the TCC control valve spring retainer (314F) from the valve body (301).
12. Disassemble the TCC PWM solenoid valve (334), TCC control valve (355), and control valve spring (336) from the valve body (301).
13. Remove the O-ring seals (305, 306) from the solenoid valve (334) ONLY if they are damaged.

14. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the TCC regulator apply valve spring retainer (314G) from the valve body (301).
15. Disassemble the bore plug (329), O-ring seal (328), TCC regulator apply valve (327), and apply valve spring (326) from the valve body (301).

16. Use a pin punch and a hammer. Drive out the reverse and forward servo boost valve bore pins (363 A/B) from the valve body (301).
17. Disassemble the reverse and forward servo boost valve springs (366 A/B) and Boost valves (367 A/B) from the valve body (301).

18. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the 2-3 shift solenoid valve spring retainer (314C) from the valve body (301).
19. Disassemble the 2-3 shift solenoid valve (315B) from the valve body (301).
20. Remove the O-ring seal (316) from the solenoid valve (315B) ONLY if it is damaged.

21. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the 4-3 manual downshift valve retainer (314B) from the valve body (301).
22. Disassemble the bore plug (359), 4-3 manual downshift valve (360), valve spring (361), and 3-4 shift valve (362) from the valve body (301).

23. Use a small screwdriver or pick. Remove the 3-2 manual downshift valve retainer (353) from the valve body (301).
24. Disassemble the bore plug (354), 3-2 downshift valve spring (355), 3-2 manual downshift valve (356), and 2-3 shift valve (357) from the valve body (301).
