Service Port HVAC: Service and Repair

Tools Required
J 34611-A Valve Core Remover and Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the service port valve cap.
2. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
3. Recover the refrigerant.





4. Remove the service port valve core using J34611-A.

Installation Procedure

Important: Lube the service port valve core O-ring with 525 refrigerant oil.





1. Install the service port valve core using J 34611-A.

Tighten the service port valve core.

Tighten
Tighten the service port valve core to 12 N.m (106 lb in).





2. Install the service port valve cap.
3. Charge the A/C system.
4. Inspect system for leaks.
5. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
