Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the MAF Sensor connector.
2. Remove the air intake duct.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Inspect the air filter element for dust, dirt, water and replace if required.
5. Replace the filter if required.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Reinstall the air filter element.
2. Install the air cleaner assembly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.

Tighten
Tighten the retainer screws to 5-7 N.m (35-45 lb in).

4. Reinstall the air intake duct.
