Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure






Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Raise the hood.
2. Install a protective covering over the fenders in order to prevent damage to the paint.
3. Remove the hood hinge pivot bolts.
4. With the help of an assistant, remove the hood.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hood.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the hood hinge pivot bolts.

Tighten the hood hinge pivot bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
