General Description

The body control module (BCM) controls the audible warnings system. The audible warnings system sounds a chime located in the BCM, in order to bring attention to one of the following conditions:
^ The check gauges indicator is on.
^ The drivers seat belt is not fastened.
^ The key is in the ignition cylinder and the door is open.
^ The headlamps are on and the door is open.
^ The turn signal is on continuously for a distance of 1.2km (0.75 mi.).
^ The park brake is engaged and the vehicle is moving faster than 5 km/h (3 mph) or the vehicle is in gear longer than 8 seconds with the park brake engaged.
