Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies.

Notice: Do not hammer on brake drum as damage to the bearing could result.

3. Remove the brake drum.
4. Disconnect the rear ABS wheel speed sensor wire connector.
5. Remove the bolts from the wheel bearing/hub assembly.
6. Remove the hub and bearing assembly (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the wheel bearing and hub assembly to steering knuckle bolts
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the rear ABS wheel speed sensor wire connector.
3. Install the brake drum.
4. Install the tire and wheel assemblies.
5. Lower the vehicle.
