Air Door: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the Instrument Panel.
2. Disconnect the vacuum connector.
3. Remove the body harness connector (C203) support bracket mounting nuts.
4. Remove the bracket from the lower 2 air inlet assembly mounting studs.




5. Remove the air inlet assembly mounting studs (3).
6. Remove the air inlet assembly (2).
7. Remove the air inlet assembly gasket (1), if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the air inlet assembly gasket (1), it necessary.
2. Install the air inlet assembly (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the air inlet assembly mounting studs (3).

Tighten
Tighten the studs to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).




4. Install the body harness connector (C203) support bracket to the lower 2 air inlet assembly mounting studs.
5. Install the bracket mounting nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 9.0 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the vacuum connector.
7. Install the instrument panel.
