Indicator Switch Replacement


Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front differential carrier shield. Refer to Shield Replacement.
2. Disconnect the electrical harness from the indicator switch located on the upper left side of the transfer case.





3. Remove the indicator switch.

Installation Procedure
1. Coat the indicator switch threads with sealer. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the indicator switch.
^ Tighten the switch to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).





3. Connect the electrical harness to switch.
4. Install the front differential carrier shield. Refer to Shield Replacement.
