103. Engine Flywheel Installation

^ Tools Required
- J36660-A Torque Angle Meter
- J43442 Flywheel Holder

Important: Engine flywheel installation requires adequate space for installation. If the engine stand does not allow suitable space to use the J36660-A install the engine flywheel with the engine properly supported on the floor or on a bench.





1. Place the engine flywheel in position on the crankshaft.
2. Install two bolts in location at the top and bottom of the engine flywheel bolt pattern allowing the engine flywheel to hang in position.





3. Install the J43442.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the remaining engine flywheel bolts.
4.1. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
4.2. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts an additional 50 degrees using the J36660-A.
5. Remove the J43442.
