Service Bay Test
The Service Bay Tests are included on the scan tool for some systems, depending upon the vehicle make and model. They may be used to test certain systems and reset the System Status to Complete. The [1][2]EVAP Service Bay Test is included for this vehicle.IMPORTANT: Ensure the vehicle meets the following requirements before performing the [1][2]EVAP Service Bay Test. Failure to meet the necessary requirements may cause inaccurate test results. This could lead to misdiagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement. The EVAP Service Bay Test can be performed when the vehicle meets the following conditions:
^ The Powertrain OBD System Check has been performed ensuring no DTCs are set
^ The battery voltage is between 10.5 and 17.5 volts
^ The fuel level is approximately 1/4 to 3/4 full
^ The key ON engine temperature is between 3.5°C and 35°C (38.3°F-95°F)
Follow the instructions on the scan tool after ensuring the above conditions have been met.
If any of the above conditions are not met the scan tool will display TEST ABORTED upon activating the Service Bay Test.
