Mirror, Window, and Door Lock Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver's door. When operated, the Express Down Feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

IMPORTANT:
^ When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch it you use a flat-bladed tool, awl, or metal object in order to remove the switch from the harness.
^ Protect the trim panel at the point of insertion of the flat bladed tool in order to avoid damaging the trim panel.




1. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the power mirror, window and door lock switch plate.
From under the pull handle, insert the tool at the rear of the switch plate in order to release the switch plate retainer.

2. Lift the rear of the power mirror, window and door lock switch plate.
3. Slide the switch plate rearward out of the door trim panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the power mirror, window and door lock switches.
5. Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to remove the power mirror, window and door lock switch from the switch plate.




6. Remove the power mirror, window and door lock switches from the switch plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connectors to the power mirror, the window, and the door lock switches.




2. Align the power mirror, window and door lock switches to the switch plate.
3. Apply pressure to the power mirror, the window, and the door lock switches until fully seated.
4. Insert the front of the switch plate to the door trim panel.
5. Apply pressure to the power mirror, the window, and the door lock switch plate until fully seated.
