Front Side Door Window Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Position the window half way down.
2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).




5. Remove the window to window regulator bolts (1,2).




6. Rotate the window and remove the front door window from the front door.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the front door window between the inner and the outer door panels.

1. Position the front door window to the front door between the inner and the outer panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the front door window down and pass the front door window through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges of the front door window with the front door window weather-strip.
4. Rotate the front door window to a horizontal position.
5. Align the holes in the front door window with the holes in the front door window regulator.
Ensure that the window clips are seated on the regulator carrier plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Important: Install the forward window to window regulator bolt first.





2. Install the window to the window regulator bolts (1, 2).

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Important: Ensure that both sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.


3. Install the front door window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
4. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
5. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
