Door Lock Switch Replacement (Oldsmobile)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the lower pull handle bezel screws.
2. Remove the lower handle bezel.
3. Using a small flat-bladed tool, at the front of the switch bezel, push in and lift up to release the front clip.
4. Remove the front door switch bezel (1) from the front door trim panel.




5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the power door lock switch.
6. Release the power door lock switch retainers.
7. Remove the power door lock switch from the bezel (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the power door lock switch to the front door switch bezel (1), pressing into place until fully seated.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the power door lock switch.
3. Install the front door switch bezel (1) to the front door trim panel.
4. Install the lower pull handle bezel, pressing into place until fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the screws to the lower switch bezel.

Tighten the lower switch bezel trim panel screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
