A/C High Pressure Switch Replacement

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
3. Disconnect the A/C High Pressure Switch electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the A/C High Pressure Switch connector retaining ring.
5. Remove the A/C High Pressure Switch from the A/C Compressor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the A/C High Pressure Switch to the A/C Compressor.
2. Install the A/C High Pressure Switch connector retaining ring.
3. Connect the A/C High Pressure Switch electrical connector (2).
4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
6. Leak test the fittings components using the J 39400-A.
