Air Temperature Door Replacement - Right

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the HVAC module assembly.
2. Remove the right side air temperature actuator mounting screws.
3. Remove the right side air temperature actuator.




4. Remove the recirculation housing retaining screws.
5. Remove the recirculation housing from the HVAC module assembly.
6. Remove the right HVAC module mounting bracket screws.
7. Remove the right HVAC module mounting bracket.
8. Remove the upper HVAC module screw.
9. Remove the lower HVAC module screws.
10. Remove the heater core cover screws.
11. Remove the heater core cover.
12. Remove the heater core pipe retaining screw.
13. Remove the heater core.

IMPORTANT: The HVAC module has one retaining screw behind the heater core.

14. Remove the HVAC module retaining screw.




15. Separate the HVAC module case halves.
16. Remove the right air temperature door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the right air temperature door.
2. Align and install the upper module case to the lower module case.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the lower HVAC module screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

4. Install the upper HVAC module screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

IMPORTANT: The HVAC module has one retaining screw behind the heater core.

5. Install the HVAC module retaining screw.
6. Install the heater core.
7. Install the heater core pipe retaining screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

8. Install the heater core cover.
9. Install the heater core cover screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).




10. Install the recirculation housing to the HVAC module assembly.
11. Install the recirculation housing screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).




12. Install the right air temperature actuator.
13. Install the right air temperature actuator screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

14. Install the HVAC module assembly.
