Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement- Rear (Disc Brakes)Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the brake rotor.
4. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake lever.
5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor harness.
6. Remove the wheel hub assembly bolts.
7. Remove the wheel hub assembly (8) from the knuckle.
8. Remove the mounting bolts from the rear of the wheel hub assembly (8).
9. Remove the wheel hub assembly (8) from the backing plate (4).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the wheel hub assembly (8) to the backing plate (4).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the mounting bolts to the rear of the wheel hub assembly (8).
- Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (90 inch lbs.).
3. Install the wheel hub assembly (8) to the knuckle.
4. Install the wheel hub assembly bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to 85 Nm (62 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the wheel speed sensor harness.
6. Connect the parking brake cable to the parking brake lever.
7. Install the brake rotor.
8. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
9. Lower the vehicle.
