Condition

Some customers may comment on a clicking noise when opening or closing the driver's or passenger's door.

Cause

This condition may be caused by lack of lubrication on the hinge check link roller pin.

Correction
Lubricate the hinge with a light weight oil.

1. Open the door and lubricate the top hinge check link roller pin and allow the oil to penetrate down into the check link roller pin inter face.

2. Cycle the door 10 to 15 times.

3. Let the oil penetrate the hinge for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Cycle the door again and lubricate as necessary until the noise disappears.
