Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

The fuel filter is located between the fuel accumulator and the fuel metering distributor. The main filtering material is paper. At the outlet end there is a fine mesh screen which prevents filter particles from continuing on through the system. Install a new filter with the arrow toward the direction of the fuel flow. If installed backwards, the screen feature is eliminated and the particles are freed to clog other units.
