Priming

As soon as the engine is started, the priming pump, which is immersed in the fuel tank, operates at the same time as the multicell feed pump. It supplies fuel to the multicell feed pump under a pressure equal to or above 0.17 bar yielding an output which corresponds to 110 liters per hour. The main objective of this concept is to favor easier start-ups on warm engines by avoiding vapor lock in the fuel lines from the tank to the feed pump.
