Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Front Pads w/DBA Series IV Calipers
1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Drain a portion of brake fluid from master cylinder reservoir.
3. Turn steering wheel fully to one side.
4. Disconnect brake warning light electrical connector.
5. Remove clip and pad retaining key.
6. Push cylinder towards disc by levering against shock absorber body, then remove outer pad.
7. Push caliper in and remove inner pad.
8. Clean all components and ensure caliper slides freely.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
Front Pads w/Teves Calipers
1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Drain a portion of brake fluid from master cylinder reservoir.
3. Remove retaining clip, pad pins and retaining springs.
4. Disconnect brake warning light electrical connector.
5. Push cylinder towards disc, then lift caliper and remove inner pad.
6. Push caliper outward and remove outer pad.
7. Clean all components and ensure caliper slides freely.
8. Reverse procedure to install.

Rear Pads
1. Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Disconnect brake warning light electrical connector.
3. Remove safety clip and retaining spring, then disconnect both ends of damping spring.
4. Remove pad retaining fork, then the spring and pads.
5. Rotate piston 1/8 turn, Fig. 4, then return to its original position.
6. Clean all components and ensure caliper slides freely.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
