Starting System: Testing and Inspection

1. Check battery and cables. Recharge or replace if necessary.
2. Check battery posts and cable lugs.
3. Ensure grounds are clean and tight.
4. Check cable terminals at starter and clean if necessary.
5. On automatic models, ensure starter relay connector terminals are tight.
6. Check backup lamp/starter lockout switch.
