Engine Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

During the engine warm-up phase, it is necessary to correct the air/fuel mixture. An [1][2]engine temperature sensor supplies the ECU with temperature information. The electrical resistance of this sensor decreases as the temperature increases. It is referred to as an NTC sensor (negative temperature coefficient).
