Speed Control System Function

To set speed control: Turn system on by pressing ON/OFF button. When the desired speed is attained (must be at or above 35 MPH.), press the SET switch.

To disengage speed control: The speed control when set can be disengaged by pressing the brake pedal or clutch pedal (RPM will increase before speed control cuts out when clutch pedal is pressed). The ON/OFF switch can also be used, but this will erase the set speed from memory.

To resume previous speed: Pressing the RESUME switch will take the vehicle to the previously set speed provided the set speed has not been erased from memory & vehicle speed is above 30 MPH.

To Increase speed: Vehicles with Stalk switches When the speed control is engaged, pressing the SET switch and releasing it in less than one second will provide a 2 MPH increase in speed. Multiple presses are remembered (i.e. 3 presses will increase speed by 6 MPH).

Vehicles with Steering Wheel switches When the speed control is engaged, pressing the ACCEL/RESUME switch and holding will gradually increase the vehicle speed. When the switch is released a new set speed is established. By pressing and releasing the ACCEL/RESUME switch in less than one second, a 2 MPH increase in speed can be obtained. Multiple presses are remembered (i.e. 3 presses will increase speed by 6 MPH).

To decrease speed: When the speed control is engaged, pressing and holding the SET/DECEL switch will gradually decrease the vehicle speed. When the switch is released, a new set speed will be established provided vehicle speed is over 35 MPH.

NOTE: The system will automatically disengage when the vehicle speed goes below 35 MPH or above 85 MPH. Resume will restore the set speed at speeds of 30 MPH or above.
