ENGINE MISSES ON ACCELERATION

Possible Cause
1. Dirty or gap set too wide in spark plug.
2. Dirt in fuel system.
3. Burned, warped or pitted valves.
4. Faulty coil.

Correction
1. Clean spark plugs and set gap, Refer to Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Specifications.
2. Clean fuel system and replace fuel filter, Refer to Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Filter/Service and Repair.
3. Install new valves.
4. Test and replace, if necessary, Refer to Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Testing and Inspection.
