Liftgate Wiper System

Fig. 23 Liftgate Wiper Motor Electrical Connector:

Refer to wiring diagrams, during the following diagnosis & testing procedure, proceed to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS.

1. Disconnect electrical connector at wiper motor.
2. Place ignition switch in the On position, then check for battery voltage at blue wire.
3. Place wiper switch in the On position and check battery voltage between blue and brown wires.
4. If battery voltage is not present in steps 2 and 3, check fuse, liftgate wiper switch and wiring.
5. With ignition switch in the On position and wiper switch in the Off position, check for battery voltage between blue and brown wires. If battery voltage is not present, check ground wire to liftgate switch.
6. If battery voltage is present in steps 2 and 3, replace motor.
