Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Description and Operation
1983-85 PICKUP W/DIESEL ENGINE
The system used on these models is a sealed type system which prevents blow-by gasses from escaping into the atmosphere. The system consists of a breather hose, an outlet pipe at the rocker cover and an inlet pipe at the air intake hose. Blow-by gasses created in the crankcase are drawn into the air intake hose through the breather hose from the rocker cover.
