Coolant Vacuum Switch Cold Closed (CVSCC)

Some vehicles are equipped with a CVSCC mounted in the thermostat housing. When engine coolant temperature reaches 108-125°F, the switch opens and vacuum is applied to open the EGR control valve, allowing exhaust gas to recirculate.
