SYMPTOM/CONDITION
During low speed part throttle and deceleration a bucking or jerking condition may occur. This condition is most noticeable when driving in lower gears.

Consists of:
1 - Vacuum Operated Switch PN 4275685
1 - Vacuum "Tee" With Restrictor PN 4287325
1 - Vacuum "Tee" Without Restrictor PN 4104172
1 - Hose Routing Label (California only) PN 4179822
Must be ordered separately:
1 - Authorized Modification Label PN 4275086
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Installation Procedure
1. Cut out a four inch section of hose from the ESA module vacuum line at a suitable location near the carburetor (do not install near battery).

2. Make three connecting hoses from bulk stock of 3/16" Vacuum Hose PN 4105167. Cut one each 2 inches long, 3 inches long, and 5 inches long (Figure 1).
3. Insert vacuum operated switch and the two "tee" connector assemblies according to the attached diagram using the lengths of vacuum hose made in Item 2 above (Figure 1).
4. Install vacuum operated switch and hose assembly in ESA vacuum hose being careful to install the "tee" with restrictor orifice toward the ESA module (Figure 1).

5. Type the following information on the Authorized Modification Label PN 4275076 (Figure 2).

Change Authority - TSB #14-04-84. Dealer Code - your dealer code. Date - date this service performed.
California emission system only:
Clean existing hose routing label and install supplied Hose Routing Label, PN 4179822, over it.
