SYMPTOM/CONDITION
The vacuum solenoid for carburetor solekicker throttle control may emit an audible clicking sound in the passenger compartment. This clicking may be heard just as the throttle is moved off idle and a second or two after returning the throttle to idle.
This condition does not affect the part reliability, however, if a customer complaint is received due to the clicking noise, perform the following repair.
DIAGNOSIS
Condition can be verified with A/C off and after running a fully warmed engine a minimum of five minutes. (This system has cold lock-out and up to five minute time lock-out after a hot restart.)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Solenoid Location
^ Omni and Horizon - located on right (passenger) side of engine bulkhead.
^ Voyager, Caravan, and Ram Van - located on left (driver) side of radiator closure panel (support).
1. Remove solenoid attaching screw.
2. Disconnect wiring connector and two vacuum lines from solenoid, mark vacuum hose location for correct reinstallation.
3. Install double ended stud from kit into sheetmetal.
4. Reconnect wiring and two vacuum lines to replacement solenoid.
5. Install replacement solenoid assembly on double ended stud with 1/4-20 nut-washer assembly and torque to 35 +/- 10 inch pounds.
6. Verify repair by repeating diagnosis test outlined above.
