3A Engine Control Module

1. Connect diagnostic readout box to engine harness connector.
2. Turn ignition switch on-off-on-off-on within five seconds.
3. If Code 88 appears on the readout box, proceed to Test 4.
4. If Code 88 does not appear on the readout box, replace ECM. Before replacing ECM, ensure diagnostic readout box is operational and inspect for open circuits between the ECM and diagnostic connector.
