Input Speed Sensor

CAUTION: When disconnecting speed sensor connector, be sure that the weather seal does not fall off or remain in the old sensor.

NOTE: The input speed sensor is not interchangeable with the output speed sensor.

REMOVAL

Fig. 60:

1. Disconnect the input speed sensor connector (Fig. 60).
2. Unscrew and remove the input speed sensor.

Fig. 61:

3. Inspect the speed sensor O-ring and replace if necessary (Fig. 61).

INSTALLATION
1. Verify O-ring is installed into position.
2. Install and tighten input speed sensor to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect speed sensor connector.
4. Connect battery negative cable.
