Output Speed Sensor

CAUTION: When disconnecting speed sensor connector, be sure that the weather seal does not fall off or remain in the old sensor.

NOTE: The output speed sensor is not interchangeable with the input speed sensor.

REMOVAL

Fig. 62:

1. Disconnect the output speed sensor connector (Fig. 62).
2. Unscrew and remove the output speed sensor.

Fig. 63:

3. Inspect the speed sensor O-ring and replace if necessary (Fig. 63).

INSTALLATION
1. Verify O-ring is installed into position.
2. Install and tighten output speed sensor to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect speed sensor connector.
4. Connect battery negative cable.
