Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair
REMOVING AND INSTALLING INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Note:
- On vehicles equipped with air bags, disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
1. Disconnect battery ground lead.
2. Remove steering wheel.
3. Remove steering column switch.
4. Remove instrument cover mounting screws.
5. Remove rear window wiper and defogger switch.
6. Disconnect both 12-pin plugs at instrument cluster.
7. Lift instrument cover carefully and tilt it to the rear. Unscrew mounting bolt and remove instrument cluster.
