Concern:
Poor electrical pin/ground lug connections.
Information:
Many electrical conditions resulting in intermittent operation of various components are often found to be caused by poor, corroded or incorrect electrical connections. As an example, multiple ground points are most commonly found loose and or corroded.
Work Procedure:
When performing any electrical repairs or checks, the technician should disconnect and examine the pertinent connector pins for proper crimping, damage or corrosion. Harnesses and connectors should have free wire movement and there should be no tension on the cables or connectors. After repairs have been completed, the fault memories should be erased and the appropriate systems should be thoroughly checked for proper operation.
